Emmerdale’s Sadie is in love with Caleb – and has the affair footage to destroy Ruby

Sadie King has the evidence to destroy Caleb and Ruby Miligan (Picture: ITV) Emmerdale’s Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) is a dangerous woman on her own. But throw in not getting what she wants, along with having the evidence to help her get it, and you’ve got a situation where Caleb Miligan (William Ash) should be sleeping with one eye open at night. Sadie has achieved the unthinkable – she’s managed to outsmart both Caleb and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) using her unrivalled powers of manipulation to turn them against each other. Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) recruited her to destroy them, and she has hit the brief – using her mind games to make Ruby think Caleb has been trying to control her, and her art of seduction to get Caleb to whisk her off to bed. Sadie tricked Caleb into thinking Ruby – who’s taken a vow of abstinence – fell off the wagon and had a drunken fling with Ross Barton (Michael Parr), and in retaliation, Caleb bedded Sadie. He later found out that Ruby sleeping with Ross was a lie and that he had cheated on his wife for no reason. A grave mistake was made. He confronted Sadie and told her it was all meaningless, but she quickly told him it wasn’t meaningless for her – and that was the moment he learned Joe Tate had been pulling the strings. He then accidentally revealed to Joe that he and Sadie had slept together as Sadie had decided not to tell him – all because she’s developed feelings for Caleb. Joe’s surprise leads Caleb to realise that Sadie has feelings for him. Sadie’s plot seems to be working (Picture: ITV) But now Joe knows but has no proof and is determined to get it – knowing full well Sadie filmed the whole encounter. Sadie now foolishly thinks she has something with Caleb and attempts to flirt with him, but she’s crushed when instead of falling back into bed with her, he says he’ll put a down payment for her on a flat far away. She’s hurt and has no plans to leave, leaving Caleb feeling guilty. He comes up with another plan. When Sadie asks for some help with some paperwork – during which it’s clear they want to rip each other’s clothes off – he sabotages it, hoping to turn Ruby against her. Caleb’s trick fails – though Ruby is left furious when a client doesn’t get their order, she is elated when Sadie easily fixes the situation and piles on even more praise.
