Emmerdale’s Patsy Kensit confirms major Sadie and Graham scenes ahead

A match made in hell? (Picture: ITV) Sadie King, Emmerdale’s arch bitch, has caused suffering and destruction throughout the village, but is she about to meet her match? When pressed about what’s to come for her acidic alter-ego, Patsy Kensit, the actress behind the deliciously devilish diva of the Dales, spilled some major tea: ‘I can’t reveal too much but I had a really great scene with Andrew Scarborough who plays Graham Foster a couple of days ago in the village.’ While we know Graham has a thing for poisonous blondes (cough, Kim Tate (Claire King), cough), will they cross as friends or enemies? Sadie has, of course, allied herself with the equally rotten Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), Graham’s surrogate son, and her entire being has been dedicated to annihilating Caleb and Ruby Miligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly) on his behalf, in exchange for a hefty cash injection to help her return to her former bougie lifestyle. ‘She needs money,’ admits Patsy. ‘I think that that is certainly driving her, it did last time too, she likes an affluent lifestyle, and so I think she wants that back.’ Patsy believes Sadie’s attraction to Caleb is genuine (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) As it turns out, though, it’s not just her thirst for champagne and caviar, but a bit of jealousy pushing her, too. ‘She also looks at Caleb and Ruby’s marriage and it’s painful for her because she would love what Ruby has.’ Next week, Sadie steps up her manipulation by secretly spiking Ruby, who’s decided to completely eliminate her alcohol consumption. In the Woolpack, Sadie turns her attention to Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and flirts with him mercilessly, eventually convincing him to dance, before swapping a tipsy Ruby in, with precision timing, as Caleb arrives and witnesses Ruby fall over on top of Ross. Sadie’s plot bears fruit (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) ‘Ruby’s had a few of these mocktails which have been spiked, so she’s falling all over the place and Caleb comes into the pub because Sadie texts him to say, ‘Listen, I think you should know…’ Patsy explains. ‘He comes in and sees Ross and Ruby on the floor – Sadie’s really manipulated him coming in there to try and damage their marriage. ‘Caleb has seen enough to think something happened between Ruby and Ross which Sadie doesn’t correct him on. ‘Sadie knows nothing happened, but she certainly doesn’t set the record straight.’ Sadie engineers Caleb’s arrival (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) Sadie’s plan works: she beds Caleb, something Patsy says runs deeper than simple manipulation. ‘I think Sadie is very much attracted to Caleb but I can’t say whether that feeling is ever reciprocated.’ Caleb is left reeling when he learns that Ruby didn’t go home with Ross, and soon Ruby smells a rat, realising that Sadie led him to believe that she did – can Sadie manipulate Ruby even further? ‘Absolutely, she’s got a plan,’ Pasty confirms. Patsy thinks Sadie can get Ruby back on side (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) While on-screen, Sadie is working hard to rip Caleb and Ruby apart, off-screen, Patsy is relishing her time with William and Beth. ‘Will and Beth are brilliant,’ she beamed. ‘They are so kind, I’ve learned so much from them – it’s been a joy, we’ve really got on, everyone’s lovely. ‘It’s such a happy set and I am loving my time here.
