Emmerdale’s Moira reacts very badly to shock news – and alienates her entire family

Matty and Moira receive some news (Picture: ITV) It’s a one in one out system for the Dingles these days – as one heads to prison, another gets released. Emmerdale’s Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is ready for his court date and is preparing himself as best he can for some time behind bars, just as Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) gets the news that Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) is coming home. She finds this out in a bit of an awkward fashion – Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) is struggling to sleep with Baby Leyla at the farm and Moira offers him to move in with the Dingles. Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) knows this is a bad move as she is secretly aware of Samson’s impending release but keeps that little detail to herself for the time being. Why is this a problem? Because Samson is in prison for being a little oik and lying to the police that Matty stabbed him, which saw Matty wrongfully imprisoned – a dangerous place for a transgender person to be. Samson had fallen in with a bad crowd, which saw him attempt to rob the Hide. Matty had thwarted said robbery with a knife in his hand and accidentally stabbed Samson, who was pressured to tell porkies to the police, which ultimately saw Matty temporarily imprisoned. So, the two lads not just sharing a roof but sharing a bedroom could be hecking awkward.
