Kim and Graham are currently looking after Joe Tate’s (Ned Porteous) son away from the village. The duo created this plan instead of following Joe’s order to have the baby adopted. Quietly keeping Baby Tate’s location a secret isn’t going to last much longer and that’s largely due to DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge), who has been sniffing around Home Farm for ages searching for something that she can use against Kim – who is her biological mother. This week, a social worker visited Kim and explained that she has reason to believe Baby Tate has been illegally adopted. Kim was horrified and explained that the tot was being looked after by her and Graham because Joe isn’t coping. Unsurprisingly, it was then revealed the social worker had gone to see Kim because she owed Thea a favour. Once the woman revealed that she wasn’t going to confirm Baby Tate’s location because of confidentiality, Thea grew annoyed. If you want something doing, just do it yourself, right? That appears to be the view Thea adopts next week but, with her determination to bring Kim down making her slightly unhinged, she decides to go about things in a dark way. I personally would’ve just sat Kim down for a chat, but ok. As panic ensues over Baby Tate disappearing, Kim believes that the culprits have snuck into Home Farm. Speaking about Kim’s discovery that Baby Tate has gone missing, star Claire King said: ‘She can’t believe it. She doesn’t know if it is kidnappers wanting some ransom or whether somebody in the family has taken him. She is in complete panic mode, so she has to ring Graham immediately and find out what’s happening.’ Ask Metro Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about – powered by Metro and trusted publications. Lurking in the shadows is Thea. But, before her showdown with Kim can begin, she continues her act when her mum asks for help with Baby Tate. Thea appears all too keen to help, which prompts Kim to make a startling realisation – Thea went for her in the wake of Dawn’s death, making out she’d caused Dawn’s death by dangerous driving, with some fabricated evidence. The scenes will mark a huge turning point for Kim and Thea (Picture: ITV) Why would someone so keen to bring down Kim suddenly want to help her? Kim knows the reason – Thea stole the baby. Her theory holds water and Kim directly accuses her. But until this moment, Kim had no idea how unhinged Thea has become through her hatred of her birth mother. Thea loses it and her temper escalates rapidly.
