AN EMMERDALE star had to seek help after breaking out in a painful skin condition on holiday. Michelle Hardwick, 50, who plays vet Vanessa Woodfield in the ITV soap, shared pictures of a very sore rash that had appeared on her trip to Spain. Michelle, who was on holiday in Mallorca, wrote over the top of the photos: “Insta vs reality. Luckily the chemist was very good in Alcudia.” Referring to the name of the painful skin condition she had, the actress added, #PMLE. PMLE stands for polymorphous light eruption, which is a common, non-scarring skin sensitivity triggered by ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight. This latest medical condition comes just months after Michelle shared images of her painful and swollen eye. In a selfie shared back in March, one of her eyes could be seen looking watery, pink and painfully puffy.
