Emmerdale fans ‘solve’ who Thea’s dad is – and it’s not Steve Marchant

Thea made her arrival shortly after Doctor Caitlin Todd’s (Caroline Harker) death. As she got to work investigating what happened during the surgeon’s final moments, the ITV soap confirmed that she had another reason for being in the village. The copper had been asking friend Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) to sneak into Home Farm and find something that could destroy Kim, a woman who Thea wanted to ‘cut off at the knees’. It was revealed in a flashback that Thea felt such an intense amount of resentment towards Kim because she is her biological daughter who was put up for adoption. Kim made the decision shortly after Thea was born to give her up, and then erased her existence out of her mind. After Emmerdale aired the scenes that confirmed who Thea is, star Claire King shared her own thought on Thea’s father, dropping a few handy clues in the process. ‘I was thinking, “Okay, so it could be so-and-so’s, and it could be so-and-so’s,” because it was just after I’d left the first time, so we’re talking about the turn of the century because she’s about 26′.
