Emmerdale confirms Sadie ending with huge twists as Patsy Kensit exits

The end is coming, but how will Sadie exit? (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) Sadie King’s (Patsy Kensit) Emmerdale return has been absolutely everything we wanted it to be, hasn’t it? She’s just as manipulative, money-hungry and immoral as she ever was; a true viper masquerading as an uber-seductive bombshell, her cruel intentions masked by layer upon layer of pure glamour. Arriving – again – by helicopter, dressed in the finest funeral couture, she immediately began weaving a web of lies across the village, announcing that she’d been in a relationship with ex-husband Jimmy King (Nick Miles), sticking a stiletto through the heart of his wife Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler), who was deep in mourning his tragic death. Like all good things, though, Sadie’s return will be finite, with Patsy filming on the show until December, and Emmerdale producer, Sophie Roper, is teasing an explosive climax to her plotline. ‘As for how that story concludes, we are building to the end point and a big denouement for that character,’ she said. ‘Sadie’s momentum, and the impact she’s going to have on our villagers, is only going to grow. There will be some incredible, exciting twists and turns, and a lot of unexpected revelations.’ Sadie’s return has been an utter success (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) Speaking to Inside Soap, Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper was ecstatic over how the comeback has gone down: ‘Sadie has been a phenomenal return to the show,’ she said. Despite a number of villagers already knowing what a vicious and deceptive witch she truly is, so convincing has her story been that Nicola has accepted it; in fact, the only person who’s seen through her act is her former toy-boy, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). The truth is, Sadie’s skint, which, let’s be honest, is no life for such a glamour puss, and she’s lingering around the village searching for Jimmy’s missing £150k. While an almighty showdown remains on the horizon between Sadie and Nicola, it’s already been revealed who her new target is: Caleb Miligan (William Ash). Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), still desperate for vengeance on Caleb and his wife, Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) for their roles in the destruction of his relationship with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) before her death, personally recruits Sadie as his tool to utterly destroy them. Sadie has her sights set on Caleb (Picture: ITV) While Joe’s initial idea is for Sadie to simply spy on them and retrieve information that they can use against them, Sadie has a much more salacious idea: she’s going to seduce Caleb and destroy their relationship that way. While Joe believes that Caleb and Ruby are much too solid for her plot to work, Sadie is undeterred and presses ahead with her plan. Sophie also teased what’s to come in that story: ‘Sadie King is a force to be reckoned with, but Caleb and Ruby are one of Emmerdale’s most powerful couples, they have been through so much together and have only got stronger. ‘Joe recruiting Sadie does, however, create a dangerous dynamic, and viewers will hopefully be shouting at their screens to warn Caleb of the dangers that lie ahead.’ One person who’s fully aware of what’s likely happening is Caleb’s brother, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who has a long and storied history of his own with Sadie. Sophie confirmed that Sadie’s conversation with Cain was genuine (Picture: Mark Bruce/ITV) Cain warns his brother, but is swiftly dismissed, despite Cain’s solid protestations that Sadie will utterly obliterate his life. Caleb’s ego could prove to be his downfall, as he laughs Cain’s concerns off – he’s far too smart to fall for any of Sadie’s schemes. Speaking of Cain, Sophie referenced a scene between he and Sadie, marking it as the one time we’ve seen Sadie display genuine humanity on screen, when she told him that when she left the village the first time, she was pregnant with his baby and subsequently miscarried. ‘There was real truth in that scene for me,’ Sophie said. ‘I really loved seeing a more genuine side to her. The intention was for that to be completely truthful.’ Deals of the Day Kurt Geiger's new Notting Hill collection is a love letter to London's chaotic weather I’ve found the Hoover gadget that could make cleaning your floors so much easier I tried L'Oréal Paris's new PDRN serum and my skin looked glossier after one use This new Cricut gadget turns your favourite photos into stickers in minutes From kitchen hatches to burgundy walls – the biggest home trends for 2027 Arrow MORE: All the Emmerdale cast returns, exits and new arrivals in 2026 Arrow MORE: Emmerdale’s Nicola and Sadie’s final showdown as Jimmy’s funeral descends into chaos Arrow MORE: ‘Extreme’ Emmerdale storyline confirmed to be finished after fan backlash The Soaps Newsletter – Weekly Sign up for exclusive spoilers and interviews, handpicked by our Soaps Editor.
