Emmerdale actress staging return after nine years and it’s all very mysterious

But this Emmerdale blast from the past is set to take everyone by surprise. Quite a number of old faces have turned up in the Dales lately. First of all, the world’s scariest butler Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) came back from the dead earlier this year. Then the second coming of uber-soap bitch Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) was announced, tying in to the tragic demise of her ex-husband Jimmy King (Nick Miles). Then everyone’s favourite silver-haired lothario Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower) resurfaced in recent episodes after a sixth month absence, along with Jimmy King’s son Elliot Windsor (Luca Hoyle), marking his first appearance on the soap since December 2024. Now another Emmerdale star who hasn’t been on our screens for almost a decade is making a big return — but soap being soap, of course there’s a twist. (Picture: ITV) Ali was on the soap briefly back in 2017, when she played a hotel guestwho had a major falling out with Eric Pollard (Chris Chittel), the village’s legendary villain turned loveably grumpy old man. Her character accused Eric of spying on her while she was getting dressed in her hotel room. This, fortunately, was a misunderstanding, as Eric had accidentally placed some ladders next to her window. Ali’s character was not pleased with Pollard during her last stay in Emmerdale. She begins filming this month.” Ali’s first stint on Emmerdale in 2017 saw her play an irate hotel guest who accused Eric of spying on her when she was getting undressed.
