Emergency services attend incident at Baldwin Ave train station in Auckland

Emergency services are attending an incident at Baldwin Ave train station in Auckland's Mt Albert.The incident was reported at 3.28pm on Wednesday.Police said there was no ongoing risk but asked the public to avoid the station.Hato Hone St John said it sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle.Councillor Julie Fairey posted to the Mount Albert Community group on Facebook urging people to stay away.She said traffic management was being set up for Rossgrove Terrace.The station and level cross would be closed for some hours to come, Fairey said.She told people to check the AT app for alternative travel options.Auckland Transport said the incident had caused delays and cancellations on the Western Line.Shuttle trains would run between Swanson and New Lynn between Waitemata and Morningside."The shuttle may not run to set times," AT said on its website.Busses would accept train tickets, it said.
