The schedule is for 12 of the jets to be delivered in 2026. LATAM Brazil will use the aircraft to expand their capacity while reaching efficiency and sustainability goals. LATAM Brazil has been undergoing significant expansion in recent years, of which the new E195-E2 will have a substantial role in continuing. Six years ago, LATAM Brazil served 44 airports in the country. Now it deals with 63 airports. The Delivery Is A Step Towards Significant Milestones Credit: Embraer This jet is the first of an order of 74 aircraft of the model, which will greatly expand the carrier's capacity. The first jet will begin operations for LATAM Brazil between November 2026 and March 2027. The first 14 jets delivered will service 42 routes, eight of which will be new. New destinations to be served include Cabo Frio International Airport (CFB) in Rio de Janeiro, José Coleto Airport (JPR) in Ji-Paraná, Benedito Lacerda Airport (MEA) in Macaé, and Maestro Marinho Franco Airport (ROO) in Rondonópolis. With these routes launched, LATAM Brazil will have the largest domestic network in the nation's history. The airline is also currently considering up to 18 new destinations for 2027 which will also use the E195-E2. This year will also see 12 more E195-E2 delivered to LATAM Brazil. Jerome Cadier, CEO of LATAM Airlines Brazil, said: “We chose the E195-E2 with a clear objective: to continue expanding LATAM’s presence in Brazil sustainably. With the E2, we will connect new markets with strong demand and economic potential to our global network, allowing us to surpass the milestone of 70 airports served in Brazil as early as 2027." LATAM And Embraer Working Together For Swift Certification Credit: Embraer With the jet now in LATAM Brazil's hands, the airline needs to move through a few final stages before it can enter operations. This includes "customs procedures, cabin interior approval, and the completion of the certification process with Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC)." The table below shows specifications for the E195-E2, making use of Embraer's data: Capacity 120 to 146 depending on configuration Maximum takeoff weight 138,000 lb (62,500 kg) Maximum usable fuel 30,181 lb (13,690 kg) Cruising speed Mach 0.82 Service ceiling 41,000 ft Range (full PAX) 3,000 nautical miles (5,556 km) LATAM Brazil is expected to complete the certification procedures within a year of announcing its acquisition of the jet. Embraer says cooperation between the manufacturer and the airline has substantially shortened this timeline. For example, LATAM Brazil had access to Embraer's demonstrator aircraft, "Profit Hunter", for "evacuation demonstrations, evaluation flights, and the training and qualification of pilots and flight attendants." Inside The LATAM Brazil Cabin Credit: Embraer Embraersays that LATAM Brazil has plans to configure its E195-E2 aircraft with 136 seats in a 2-2 configuration. Both premium economy and economy class seats will be available. Up to 20 premium economy seats will be available, although LATAM Brazil may have some slight differences in how it configures each individual aircraft. In premium economy, passengers can enjoy better legroom, seat recline and onboard services. You'll also be able to use free Wi-Fi if you are a registered LATAM Pass member. Each premium economy seat will have USB-C ports and access to LATAM Play. On top of the 2-2 configuration due to the plane's narrow width, the E195-E2 brings a host of advantages to its new Brazilian customer. It has up to 30% lower fuel burn when compared with first-generation E-jets. Through a range of aerodynamic, powerplant and technological advances, E2 family jets reduce carbon emissions by 25%. LATAM Brazil's pilots' jobs will also get less strenuous with fourth-generation fly-by-wire avionics.
