Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Extends Hot 100 Record With 24th Week at No. 1

A week earlier, the song solely claimed the mark. The track holds for a 24th week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs; dips to No. 3 from its No. 2 high on Radio Songs; and continues for a 19th week atop Digital Song Sales — where it overtakes BTS’ “Dynamite,” from 2021, and “Butter,” from 2020, for the longest reign in the chart’s history (which dates to the mid-2000s). Wallen Revs In Morgan Wallen’s “Last Thing You Need” debuts at No. 9 on the Hot 100. Released Sept. 17, it accumulated 14.4 million streams, 1.2 million in airplay audience and 5,000 sold in its first full tracking week. Wallen adds his 21st career Hot 100 top 10. Dating to his first, “7 Summers,” in 2020, he boasts the third-most top 10s this decade, after Drake (55) and Taylor Swift (45). “Last Thing You Need” is from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, due Nov. 19. Rest of Top 10: Karol G Claims New Best Rank Stella Lefty’s “Boston” keeps at its No. 2 Hot 100 peak and Morgan Wallen’s “Been by Now” is steady at No. 3, after it debuted at its No. 2 best. Country songs (defined as releases that have hit Hot Country Songs) have now held the top three, top four or top five 17 times over the chart’s history, with 13 having occurred since July. Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” holds at No. 4 on the Hot 100, after it led in its debut week in June. Tame Impala and JENNIE’s “Dracula” repeats at its No. 5 Hot 100 high. It tops the multimetric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a 38th week and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs for a 20th week, while topping Radio Songs for a second week (62.6 million, essentially even). Karol G’s “BbY WOW,” with Judeline and rusowsky, rises 7-6, two weeks after it reached the Hot 100’s top 10. Karol G achieves her best rank with her second song to make the tier, after “TQG,” with fellow Colombian star Shakira, debuted at its No. 7 peak in March 2023. “BbY WOW” (the first entry on the chart for both Judeline and rusowsky) tops the multimetric Hot Latin Songs chart for a sixth week. Olivia Dean’s “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” lifts a spot (8-7) on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 5, as does her “Man I Need” (9-8), after it reached at No. 2.
