Ella Langley hit back at the haters who were “picking on” her days after beating Mariah Carey’s Billboard Hot 100 record. “I don’t think I’ve ever had more opinions on myself in my life than I have in this last year,” the country music singer told the crowd at her Sept. 25 concert in Columbus, Ohio, per video shared to TikTok. “The way I look, the way I speak, the way I dress, the way I move, the way I sing, the way I write,” she added. Langley, 27, said the constant criticism “bothered” her at first.
