Altogether, elimination of wasteful practices in the U.S. medical system, such as overbuilding and expensive ads, could save billions, without individuals or government spending a penny (or a nickel, since pennies are in short supply), writes Dr. Alan Lubin of Gates Mills in a letter to the editor.
