Egypt’s ambassador to Cameroon presents credentials as non-resident envoy to Central African Republic

Egypt’s Ambassador to Cameroon Marwa Hegazy presented on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, her credentials to Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadéra as Egypt’s non-resident ambassador to the Central African Republic. Following the ceremony, Hegazy met with President Touadéra, who asked her to convey his greetings to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and praised Egypt’s efforts to support security and stability in his country. The Central African president stressed the importance of continued cooperation and building on shared values to serve the interests of his country. For her part, Hegazy affirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting efforts to achieve peace and development in the Central African Republic and its readiness to provide various forms of support in priority areas. She also highlighted the role played by Egyptian troops participating in the UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) in promoting stability and preserving peace and security, particularly in the capital, Bangui. The ambassador expressed her aspiration to coordinate with Central African government officials in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples. Back to top button
