Civil Aviation Minister Sameh al-Hefny affirmed Egypt’s readiness to support Venezuelan airlines, in line with applicable regulations, to facilitate their operations and expand air services between the two countries, boosting travel, tourism and trade. During a meeting with Venezuelan Ambassador in Cairo Wilmer Omar Barrientos, the two sides discussed cooperation in civil aviation and the latest developments on a draft air transport agreement between Egypt and Venezuela. The agreement is expected to establish a regulatory framework to support air traffic growth and strengthen air connectivity between the two countries. Barrientos said Venezuela plans to promote tourism and deepen ties with Middle East countries, stressing the importance of expanding air transport links with Egypt and open new avenues for cooperation.
