The two ministers stressed the importance of building on the growing momentum in Egyptian-Iraqi ties, expanding cooperation across various fields and maintaining coordination on issues of mutual concern. They exchanged views on developments in the region and future security arrangements, emphasizing the need for joint efforts to reduce tensions, prioritize dialogue and support political and diplomatic solutions to regional crises. The ministers also underscored the importance of strengthening the trilateral cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan as a promising framework for regional integration and for increasing the three countries’ human and economic resources.
