Education Leadership in Accreditation Reform

To the Editor Dr Stern and colleagues argued persuasively for a transition toward outcomes-based accreditation and reaffirmed the importance of external validation in maintaining the profession’s social contract with society. Their call for reform is timely. However, several dimensions of the physician training and regulatory ecosystem warrant further consideration.
