Editorial: Invest in NIL funds for student athletes

Unfortunate maneuvering took hold in the last hours of the legislative session this year, preventing a vote on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) law that seemed at the precipice of passage. That came as a major disappointment to the University of Hawaii, which had lobbied for passage of a bill, along with its athletes and support from many in the Legislature.
