Sign in to your ScreenRant account Nine years after starring on Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, Edie Falco is returning to the legal genre with a brand-new series for Fox. On Law & Order True Crime, Falco played Lyle and Erik Menendez's defense attorney, Leslie Abramson. The series was a spinoff of Dick Wolf's long-running Law & Order franchise but the first to adapt a real-life crime story. The Menendez Murders aired in 2017, but there aren't currently any plans to continue the series. However, Falco is about to jump back into another legal drama now that Fox is developing the series Katie Greaves for the 2027-2028 TV season, according to Deadline. Falco is playing the titular character, an attorney who experiences a personal tragedy and decides to step down from her position at the New Hampshire Public Defender's office. After spending time raising her grandchildren and coming to terms with the changes in her life, she re-enters the legal world and is forced to prove how strong her instincts are as she attempts to give others a second chance. Sharr White created Katie Greaves and is on board as showrunner and writer. The series has been in the works since the start of 2026 when Fox executives expressed strong interest in giving it a pickup, which they've now done. Reports indicate that the network waited to order the series until a well-known TV star like Falco joined the cast, similar to what they did with Josh Charles on Best Medicine and Patrick Dempsey on Memory of a Killer. More to come...
