| Freelance Soaps Reporter Published October 12, 2026 11:59pm Amy’s in real danger (Picture: BBC/Metro) Vile groomer Craig Ingram (Matthew James Bailey) spots an opportunity next week in EastEnders, and it could rip Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) away from her family forever. Craig was creepy from the jump, but it wasn’t until much later when the show confirmed that he and Amy would become the centre piece of a dark grooming storyline, when the true extent of his behaviour was made clear. As his manipulation of Amy increased, with him allowing her to believe that withholding evidence in an effort to protect her had cost him is career in the police force, the truth behind his dismissal came to light. Craig had turned his attention to a young female officer at work, promising to help her ascend the career ladder, before grimly harassing her when she turned down his advances. With this being his second case of gross misconduct, he was immediately removed from his position, and his sacking only served in giving him more time to bother Amy. Last week sees Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) intervene when he learns that Amy’s been skipping classes, dedicating all of her time to Craig and his increasing demand. Amy invited Lily to Craig’s flat… (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) …and he was incensed to learn Denzel was there (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) With Jack satisfied that Amy’s lack of motivation when it comes to her education springs from step-mum Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) ongoing battle with cancer, the pair have a heart to heart, but back at his flat, Craig is furious. With Amy having invited her friends over, Craig takes particular issue with Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) having been there, with him also having been recently fighting for Amy’s affection. He forces her to hand over her phone in a show of loyalty and upon discovering a half naked picture of Denzel, he’s angrier than ever and despite Amy’s explanation seemingly placating him, under the surface, his vitriol toward Denzel only grows. Craig is deeply interested in Amy’s inheritance (Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron) Ask Metro Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about – powered by Metro and trusted publications. Next week sees pound signs flash in Craig’s eyes, when he learns about the inheritance that Amy is about to come into, and with drama springing up all around her, she agrees to flee Walford with him. In the days following, Amy finds herself at odds with Jack once again, and decides that she needs a fresh start sooner rather than later, beginning to look into how she can get access to the inheritance funds early, but there’s a huge problem and a roadblock standing in her way. With Craig breathing down her neck, Amy becomes more and more desperate to escape the Square, can she manage to get her hands on the money? And if she does, is it the last her family will ever see of her? EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 19th October at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
