Tyler Kinghorn appeared in numerous episodes of the long-running drama, set in the fictional London borough of Walford, this week playing the role of Bruce, Eddie Knight’s (Christopher Fairbank) probation officer. Confirming that his stint on the show is now at an end, Tyler shared a series of screenshots from his time in Albert Square. He wrote on Instagram: ‘Had a wonderful time and experience playing Bruce on my TV Debut, on BBC ONE and looking forward to what the future holds.’ Bruce made a number of appearances in recent episodes after Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) decided to allow terminally ill convict Eddie – who was jailed for the murder of adopted son George Knight’s (Colin Salmon) biological father Henry Kofi Asare – to live under her roof. Nicola, as viewers will know, is currently in a relationship with former Queen Vic landlord George and the two welcomed baby Ivy just weeks ago. Eddie, who was last seen on screen in 2024 after he was sentenced, got in touch from hospital to reveal that he’s dying, claiming he wanted to make things right with George before he passes away. Nicola, however, sensed that scheming Eddie had ulterior motives and thus urged George to proceed with caution where the vile racist was concerned. However, the situation soon took a turn when Eddie offered her a significant amount of money if she allowed him to come live with her at No.1 until he dies. With her businesses struggling finically, Nicola felt she had no choice but to take Eddie up on his offer, subsequently organising with his probation officer Bruce to set the move in motion. Bruce met with Nicola about Eddie coming to live with her during his final months (Picture: BBC) Bruce paid Nicola a visit at No.1 earlier this week to have a look around the property ahead of Eddie’s arrival. He believed that Nicola was the daughter of a friend of Eddie’s, with her connection to George kept under wraps for fear it might sabotage her plans. Don't miss a Soaps scoop!
