Some Dream Team bosses may feel it’s a tad rash to play a Booster in early September but there are only so many favourable European double Gameweeks and this appears to be one of them. Generally, there are more points to be had during the league phase of the Champions League than the knockout stage, when things can get tense between evenly matched opponents. Come spring, it may be the case that you have increased your budget through a series of shrewdly timed transfers, allowing you to afford multiple premium options. The likes of Erling Haaland (£8.3m), Bruno Fernandes (£6.9m), Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.2m), Cole Palmer (£5.3m) and Bukayo Saka (£5.7m) are expensive assets — it’s impossible to afford them all right now.
