Eagle-eyed Strictly viewers think Danny Dyer made explicit comment about judge

And you have to wonder if, when the BBC asked Dani Dyer to take part in Strictly Come Dancing, they considered who she might bring to the Claudatorium. After all, her dad, Danny Dyer, is well known for his love of coarse language (trust me on that, I’ve met him). And sure enough, some Strictly fans think that Danny senior might have indulged in a little bit of swearing on tonight’s show. In fact, they’re convinced that Danny called Craig Revel Horwood a ‘w*****’ when he was mean about Dani’s dancing. Indeed, Metro’s own Strictly expert Emily Bashforth was watching the episode at home, and she’s convinced Danny did insult Craig. Dani is dancing with Nikita again this year (Picture: BBC) ‘After Craig’s comments to Dani about her feet being turned out, the camera cut to him, and he was shouting out, and it caught the end of him mouthing it,’ she told me. Still, while we can’t say for certain what Danny was saying (maybe he was asking someone about an anchor? Or maybe he was angry at a banker), everyone agreed that having the East End hardman was looking after his little girl. @quandromache wrote on X: ‘Danny Dyer in the audience shaking his head…iconic. @sugdenhighway also noted that ‘Danny Dyer [was] sat there shaking his head at Craig.’ And Craig best watch out; none of tonight’s dancers was sent home, so he may have to face Danny in the ballroom again. Of course, based on tonight’s dance, Dani may go far. She earned a respectable 22 points. Dani was meant to compete on last year’s edition of Strictly; however, an injury meant she was unable to compete. ‘I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny,’ she said in a statement released at the time. ‘I thought I had rolled my foot, but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle. Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I’ve had to pull out of the show. ‘To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.’ Dani’s got high hopes for this new season though. She’s told the BBC she’s so excited to be back in the ballroom and cannot wait to get her dancing shoes back on. Metro has approached the BBC and Danny Dyer for comment.
