(Supplied)In short:A teenage boy is in a life-threatening condition after an e-scooter crash in Childers, in the Bundaberg region.Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage to contact them.What's next?Parents are being warned to take dangerous e-scooters and e-bikes off children.Police are investigating an e-scooter crash that has left a teenage boy in a critical condition.Emergency services were called to Macrossan Street in Childers, 400 kilometres north of Brisbane, just after 6pm yesterday after reports of a single-vehicle e-scooter crash.The rider, a 13-year-old boy, suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to Queensland Children's Hospital in a critical condition.Bundaberg Highway Patrol officer in charge Gordon Hard said the events leading up to the crash were not clear."To the best of my knowledge he was wearing a helmet," he said."Paramedics performed CPR before that child was flown to Brisbane."Sergeant Hard said officers were examining the e-scooter to determine its capabilities, and whether speed was a contributing factor in the crash."If anyone has got dash cam footage or any other sort of footage that may have been around that area at 6pm yesterday afternoon, we're urging them to go to the police," Sergeant Hard said.Police are appealing for witnesses to an e-scooter crash in Childers to come forward. (Supplied)It is the second serious e-scooter incident in the region, after a 39-year-old Hervey Bay man died in a crash involving his e-scooter and an electric skateboard in July.It was the first e-scooter fatality in Queensland this year."Anything that's travelling at 70, 80, 90, up to 100 kilometres an hour, either an e-scooter or an e-bike is dangerous and nothing good can happen for them," Sergeant Hard said."We're urging parents out there, if your child has one of these illegal scooters or high-powered bikes, you need to seriously consider taking it off them"The government has changed the laws for a reason and police are trying their best to get these e-scooters and e-bikes off the road."
