Dungeons & Dragons Drops 19 New Subclasses In Surprise Update

It’s been a busy period for the popular TTRPG since the start of the Season of Horror, which was kicked off by the release of Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. Recently, D&D released a Bloodborne-inspired expansion on Beyond, allowing players to wield trick weapons to face gothic-inspired monsters and eldritch horrors. However, it doesn’t stop there, as a new release is now available. As has been highlighted by a post on D&D Beyond, a new homebrew expansion has been officially incorporated into the platform in the form of two releases or a bundle that contains both packs. The release, which is already available, features a grand total of 19 subclasses, significantly expanding your character options. There is one subclass for each of the core classes, plus seven subclasses for the pack’s homebrew Gunslinger class, focused on the use of firearms to beat enemies. The Gunslinger class arrived in D&D with the release of Valda’s Spire of Secrets on D&D Beyond last year, but now, publisher Mage Hand Press has put out the second part of the expansion, which features content for the other classes. On the platform, you can purchase Valda’s Spire of Secrets Digital Bundle, which contains the Gunslinger Class, plus the two Player Packs that have been released. Valda’s Spire of Secrets isn’t exactly new, but it has made its way into D&D Beyond, allowing players who use the platform to take advantage of the character options straight from the app. The homebrew expansion is full of quirkiness, with some fairly hilarious and intriguing subclasses, as well as spells, feats, and much more. While there is a lot to see, the homebrew subclasses for D&D are the most exciting elements present. For example, you can play as a Muscle Wizard Barbarian, a traditionally martial class with some funny spells, including Fist. The Way of the Street Monk subclass lets you be your favorite fighting game character, using moves like Hadouken and Air Dash. The Future You Patron subclass for Warlocks in D&D is also intriguing, as your character will have themselves as their magical entity. One of the quirkiest ones is the Magic Missile Mage subclass for Wizards, whose abilities revolve around using Magic Missile for more damage and even improved Armor Class. There are some pretty fun increments to the TTRPG available within Valda’s Spire of Secrets Digital Bundle. Fans of using firearms in fantasy settings should also consider checking it out, as there is a full level 1-20 class description, plus seven subclasses to pick from.
