'Dungeon Crawler Carl' Series Officially Adds a Sci-Fi Legend in a Game-Changing Move

In addition to writer Chris Yost, who has been spearheading the creative process of bringing Matt Dinniman's wildly popular post-apocalyptic LitRPG novels to life, Eric Heisserer has now been brought aboard to serve as co-showrunner. He brings to the table a wealth of experience in the genre, previously earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for penning Denis Villeneuve's 2016 film, Arrival. His most recent effort came on the small screen, with Netflix's two-season take on Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse fantasy novels, Shadow and Bone.
