The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on August 20, has been postponed to September 3. The makers said the additional time will allow them to mount a wider theatrical release across India, with the film now set to arrive simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, I’m Game features Dulquer Salmaan in the lead, with Kayadu Lohar, Antony Varghese and Mysskin also part of the cast. Announcing the revised date, the team said the decision was taken with a larger theatrical vision for the film.“The game gets bigger. The release gets wider. Earlier, it was supposed to clash with Prithviraj Sukumaran's Khalifa. The makers I'm Game are now positioning the film for a pan-India release in five languages, hoping to take Dulquer’s action thriller to a wider audience. The production team said the new release plan is aimed at giving the film the scale and theatrical platform it deserves.“This decision has been made to give #IMGAME the scale, reach, and theatre platform it truly deserves, allowing audiences across different markets to experience it on the big screen. The wait gets a little longer, but the game gets bigger! (sic),” the team said.With the new date, the film will simultaneously release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. The makers are looking to expand its theatrical footprint beyond the Malayalam market and make the most of Dulquer’s pan-Indian appeal.The release announcement comes soon after the makers unveiled Mazhavillaye, the first single from the film. Composed by Jakes Bejoy, the song has been sung by Armaan Malik. Dulquer recently praised Armaan for his contribution to the track. Sharing his appreciation on X, the actor wrote, “It’s such a privilege to have you bring so much soul and your own spirit to this track brother. Been your fan forever so this is truly special!” He concluded the message with “Lots of love always” and heart emojis.All about I'm GameI’m Game is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who is known for the Malayalam action thriller RDX.
