Drunken Delta Air Lines Passenger Screams At Atlanta Gate Agent After Getting Kicked Off Rome Flight

A woman in a straw hat screams at Delta gate agents at Atlanta’s gate F8, leaning over the counter and pointing at employees who remain… remarkably calm. A passenger who says they were on her flight explains that she’d been drunk at the gate, boarded for Rome, and was taken off the aircraft. She was ultimately arrested after the tirade, though she’s only shown collecting her bag and walking away. A post shared by ATLSCOOP (@atlscoop) She declares, “You wanna shut me down?” and leans toward the counter, points and keeps going while employees barely react. One commenter adds, This lady was supposed to be on our flight to Rome last night😂 She was drunk as ever at the gate prior to boarding, acting wild when she got on plane, so they escorted her off and wouldn’t let her back on. Most of the comments are sympathetic to the employees. Some want airport bars shut down. Others are more interested in the passenger’s alternate transportation options: “she going to have to paddle to Rome now.” @greyhoundlines here she comes” “acting like the counter is holding her back is wild” This reminds me of the woman screaming at Delta employees at Atlanta’s gate B14 over a delayed flight to Rochester. She demanded police and a manager while the agents calmly continued working. As for shutting down airport bars, we don’t know where this woman drank. I’ve covered a Delta passenger who blamed three Sky Club cocktails for her removal (they didn’t blame themselves for drinking the three cocktails, natch). Here, the woman should have been stopped from boarding in the first place. So there actually was a failure on Delta’s part – but the failure wasn’t in keeping her from flying. Topics on this page
