Drew Starkey Proves a Little Color Goes a Long Way

“T-Shirt Tiiiiiiiiiime!” screamed Drew Starkey, ahead of his appearance on Today yesterday. As part of an Instagram promo, he was sharing his favorite reality TV quote of all time. Obviously, the Jersey Shore catchphrase took top spot. “My friends and I were screaming ‘T-Shirt Time’ all summer when that came out,” he said.But by Thursday evening, when he popped by The Tonight Show, it wasn’t T-Shirt Time anymore. It was head-to-toe Dior, but there wasn’t a logo in sight.Starkey’s look is a lesson in hard color dressing. Pink is statement enough—you don’t need a jazzy pattern, loud graphic, or look-at-me detail to confuse things. Sometimes, it’s best to keep things nice and simple with a block color in a killer texture. Candy floss pink in satin, as per Starkey, will do just fine.And, as is the vibe right now, the Queer star made sure the collar was jaunty and wing-tipped. Next time your mate points out your collar is askew, flip it up even further. There's no better way to make a shirt look a bit undone (without, err, making it a bit undone).
