The actor, businesswoman, and talk show host listed her 12-acre Westchester County property in late March, asking just under $5 million. As of yesterday, the listing shows that the home is pending for an unknown sum. Compass Real Estate confirmed to AD that Barrymore has found a buyer for the home, which she spent two years renovating.“We had an incredible amount of interest and several strong offers, which made the process really exciting,” reads a statement from listing agent Kori Sassower. “In the end, it all came down to the land and the home’s truly unique features. We’re so happy to have found a buyer who genuinely appreciates the thoughtful updates and special details throughout the home; it really feels like the right match.”Drew Barrymore's home in Harrison, New York Photo: Modern AnglesJoin NowAD PRO members enjoy exclusive benefits. She completely overhauled the 5,600-square-foot home, which dates to 1747, personally handling the interior decorating. “It was like a strange, spiritual calling,” the 50 First Dates star told The Wall Street Journal of her attraction to the house, which she planned to keep as a weekend spot away from her New York City pad. But when a cosmetic lift turned into a complete gut renovation, time had changed her and her family’s priorities. That’s not to say that Barrymore never stayed at the property; while overseeing its overhaul, she “lived in the house in the most primitive of scenarios,” she told the WSJ, including when it had no kitchen or running water and meals were exclusively cooked on the outdoor grill. “It’s some of my favorite times and memories.”Drew Barrymore's light-filled home in Harrison, New York Photo: Modern AnglesThe sweet kitchen at Drew Barrymore's home in Harrison, New York Photo: Modern AnglesA glass-enclosed sunroom at Drew Barrymore's home in Harrison, NY Photo: Modern AnglesA dining area at Drew Barrymore's home in Harrison, New York Photo: Modern AnglesArt adorns the walls at Drew Barrymore's home in Harrison, New York Photo: Modern AnglesThe pond-like pool at Drew Barrymore's home in Harrison, New YorkPhoto: Modern AnglesNot a subscriber?
