Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Release Date Officially Delayed To Second Half Of 2027

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Will Launch In The Second Half Of 2027 To Apply "Valuable Feedback" Published Oct 22, 2026, 9:15 AM EDT George is the Lead News Editor for TheGamer, and has been working in the industry since 2021 after graduating from the University of South Wales with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. Back when Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 was first revealed near the start of the year, it was a bit of a surprise to see it given a 2027 release window right from the get-go. After Sparking Zero had the infamous “wishlist now” message at the end of most of its early trailers, no one expected Bandai to confidently reveal when to expect Xenoverse 3. Of course, we were never given a more specific release window beyond the overall year, but PlayStation did suggest last month that the game would be launching in “Early 2027”. Whether that was originally the plan or not isn’t clear, but it’s been confirmed that Xenoverse 3 will be launching a bit later than that to make some improvements. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Will Now Launch Late 2027 Don’t Expect Any Big Updates For A While Earlier this week, Noisy Pixel shared a statement from Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 producer Masayuki Hirano following the recent release of previews. Hirano said that the team has received “valuable feedback” from fans, which has resulted in discussions around certain areas that “we intend to make improvements in response”. Xenoverse 3’s producer goes on to say that the series is built “together with the players through launch” and that to “fully realise our ambitions” for launch and beyond, the release of Xenoverse 3 is currently set for the latter half of 2027. We also will be “waiting a little longer” until we hear an update on the game, so it looks like Dimps is locking in. While Xenoverse 3 never actually had a release date to begin with, the wording of the statement makes it clear that this is a delay, and one that’s being done to implement the feedback given by players. It’s a shame to see a game we’ve all been waiting so long for pushed back, but at least it means the developers are taking feedback seriously. It looks like PlayStation might have been right about “Early 2027”, then. That plan has just clearly been changed. And boy, is there a lot of feedback. Since more gameplay footage was shared, fans have been very vocal about the UI, character models (which I disagree with, but hey ho), and online functionality. It looks like there’s a lot of work left for Xenoverse 3, but from what I played I’m sure that it’ll be worth it.
