In April, the long-awaited reveal of Xenoverse 3 delighted audiences, and around the same time, Dragon Ball Super's return was confirmed with the Galactic Patrol Arc. The arc will see Goku and Vegeta team up with galactic peacekeepers to face Planet-Eater Moro, one of the series' most terrifying villains. With Xenoverse 3 and Super's new arc happening so close to each other, we took the opportunity at this year's Gamescom to ask Xenoverse producer Masayuki Hirano if we could expect an early crossover. Unsurprisingly, given the support Xenoverse 2 has received, the wheels are already turning to make this happen. Planet-Eater Moro Will Be Making His Way To Xenoverse 3 Early On In the decade since its release, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has received almost unparalleled support. It got a staggering 21 paid DLC packs and somewhere in the region of 20 major free updates. The expectation is that Xenoverse 3 will receive the same decade-plus of post-launch content. That seems highly likely to be the case, as we asked Hirano whether he planned to introduce the Galactic Patrol Arc at any point in the future. “Yes, of course we’re already thinking about it,” he tells me. “But the Galactic Patrol Arc was announced after development of the game began, so it won’t be there at launch. We want to introduce constant updates and DLC to Xenoverse 3, so in that sense, this will be one of the first updates.” Of course, we're already thinking about it. In recent years, Dragon Ball games have annoyingly avoided pulling from the manga, which means anything from the Galactic Patrol Arc and onwards hasn't been represented in the games. We've seen some moves here and there, like in Sparking Zero, but everyone's been begging for things like Ultra Ego Vegeta, Moro, Granolah, Black Frieza, and much more. For now, we only have the Galactic Patrol Arc confirmed for the anime's return, but it'll surely keep on going to catch up with the manga.
