Dr Alia Nazneen Jukaku: 'It Is A Big Moment For Our Entire Family'

Speaking from Bhatkal in Karnataka, Dr. Alia Nazneen Jukaku, the aunt of Dr. Sarah Jukaku, shared her family's joy following Abdul El-Sayed's historic victory as the first Muslim senator in United States history. She noted that while her family is accustomed to local politics through her father and uncle, this victory is on a completely different level. Recalling election night, Dr. Alia mentioned that relatives across the world stayed awake monitoring news and group chats until the confirmation arrived. Addressing political attacks during the campaign, she highlighted El-Sayed's poise, remarking, 'He knew how to reply, and he was more focused on his goals.' She pointed to his door-to-door dedication and commitment to addressing public health, inflation, and healthcare affordability as key reasons for his connection with voters.
