DOTr: Free rides in parts of Metro Manila available on Thursday, July 23

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and other government agencies will continue providing free rides in selected areas of Metro Manila on Thursday due to the two-day strike of transport group Manibela, the agency said on Wednesday. Manibela set its two-day transport strike on Wednesday and Thursday (July 22-23) to protest the series of recent oil price increases and push for a fare increase. Rodriguez; Quiapo-Fairview; Kalentong-Pasig Palengke; at PITX-Lawton at vice versa,” DOTr said in an advisory.
