Doritos issues urgent recall of popular snack over health risk as customers warned ‘do not eat’

DORITOS has issued an urgent recall of its popular crisp bag, warning customers to “not eat” their product. The Food Standards Agency has said that the product could be a “possible health risk” to consumers with allergies or intolerance. As the Tangy Cheese treats contain milk – and the packaging does not label the ingredient – it is a possible health risk for people with a dairy allergy or intolerance. The government agency has pointed to the 140g packs with the batch code GBC 209 184C and the best before day of December 5, 2026, as possibly containing the wrong ingredient. The company has instructed anyone who has bought the product to return it to a store to receive a full refund. People with milk allergies who eat the product are at risk of skin, respiratory, and digestive issues. In some rare cases, those with milk allergies could have a life-threatening reaction from eating dairy products. The Food Standards Agency said: “This product contains milk, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. Most read in The Sun “PepsiCo is recalling the product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. “The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.
