Don't go, bomb hai: Hoax note found on IndiGo flight at Bengaluru airport

A handwritten bomb threat note found on an IndiGo flight to Ahmedabad prompted a security response at Bengaluru airport. A bomb threat scare triggered heightened security at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday after a suspicious handwritten note was found onboard an IndiGo flight bound for Ahmedabad.According to airport authorities, a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was constituted at Terminal 1 of Kempegowda International Airport on July 16 after the note was discovered inside the lavatory of IndiGo flight 6E-6423, which was scheduled to operate from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad.The airline crew found the note before the aircraft's departure at around 7.35 pm. The handwritten message read: "Don't go. Bomb Hai! Please".Following the discovery, standard security protocols were immediately initiated and the aircraft was subjected to a comprehensive security inspection. Officials said no explosive or suspicious object was found during the search. Kempegowda International Airport authorities have lodged a complaint with the Airport Police, seeking registration of an FIR and an investigation to identify the person responsible for the hoax threat.The airline, in its complaint filed with the KIAL Airport Police, said the threat triggered significant operational disruption and posed serious concerns for the safety and security of passengers, crew members and the airline.
