Not content with the Trump-Kennedy Center furore or Lake America he is now moving on to the world’s greatest threat – Artificial Intelligence. The US President took time in his UN Speech in New York to try and assuage the fears of doomsayers who fear it will be the death of us all. He announced he is officially changing the name of Artificial Intelligence to ‘Super Intelligence’ and says all US government documents will now be changed to refer to ‘SI’ not ‘AI’. He said: ‘The use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake, it makes it sound fake and it is not fake. It’s actually amazing.’ The president said that from this ‘point forward,’ government documents ‘will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial. So it’s super intelligence.”’ It’s not clear yet if there was an official order making the change, but it would likely mean adjusting the name of the ‘AI Force’ that Trump announced this weekend to the ‘SI Force.’ Trump has claimed fears about AI are being ‘perpetuated by the Radical Left’ after lead researchers issued sobering warnings. Anthropic safety researcher Evan Hubinger warned he believed there was a greater than 10% chance that artificial intelligence could wipe out humanity within 10 years. It came after his former colleague, Jacob Coxon, quit the company, claiming it wasn’t ‘acting responsibly’ to stop the threat of human extinction he believes AI poses. He also pledged in his speech at the United Nations’ General Assembly that Russia’s war in Ukraine would soon end. ‘We’re working very closely with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, and we will get that one done,’ Trump said. ‘It’s going to happen, I think, more quickly than people understand.’ The war began in early 2022 with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
