Published September 8, 2026 06:46 PM When the Dolphins hosted the Raiders in 2024, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby helped set up an early Miami touchdown by drawing an unnecessary roughness penalty for taking a swipe at Dolphins guard Liam Eichenberg. After the Dolphins win, Eichenberg — who is currently out of the NFL — said that Crosby is “easy to aggravate” and one of his former teammates on the offensive line might be trying to do just that ahead of this Sunday’s game. Dolphins left tackle Patrick Paul said at a Tuesday press conference that one of the keys to dealing with the Raiders star is “getting him off his game” and he was asked about the role trash talk can play in that process. “I feel like, yeah, he’s a hothead,” Paul said, via David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “A lot of those things you could get into his game with that, but, I mean, he’s a great player so you just gotta stay on it all four quarters.”Given Crosby’s penchant for making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks, anything Paul can do to keep Crosby off of Malik Willis will be appreciated by the Dolphins this weekend.
