A DOG died after a car was set on fire in a McDonald’s car park as cops investigate the shocking blaze. A 28-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of arson and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and having no insurance. The man has since been bailed with conditions until September 22 while enquiries continue. Officers have now been reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation. They are particularly keen to speak to two men who were seen in the area around the time of the fire. The pair appear to have tried to get into the vehicle in an attempt to help the dog.
