Doctors recommend Tyreek Hill hold off on coming back until October

Published September 9, 2026 05:42 PM Tyreek Hill will not be playing in the first week of the 2026 season and it looks like it will be some time before there’s a chance of seeing the wide receiver back on an NFL field. Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday that doctors have recommended Hill hold off on trying to come back until sometime in October. Hill is coming back from the severe left knee injury he suffered in a late September game last year. “We’re playing it on the safe side. . . . We’re not in a rush, we really just want him to be completely healthy,” Rosenhaus said. “There’s a ton of interest, as you can imagine, in Tyreek, but we want to make sure that he’s 100 percent good to go. That may be a month from now, a couple weeks from now — we’re not in a hurry.”Hill said in July that he was working to regain power in his left knee and that process is set to continue for at least a little while longer.
