ICONIC French DJ Kavinksy has been found dead at his home in Paris at the age of 50. The electropop legend, whose real name was Vincent Belorge, was best known for his hit song Nightcall as well as for performing at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics in 2024. Kavinksy is often praised as one of the pioneers of the modern French electropop scene. His stellar music career also saw him go on tours with Daft Punk and The Rapture. He would play the hit alongside Phoenix and Angèle at the 2024 Summer Olympics closing ceremony in his hometown of Paris. The performance sparked a huge increase in streams of Nightcall and led to Vincent recording a new studio version featuring Angèle and Phoenix. Vincent had initially tried to be an actor as a teenager but soon started to release music after finding success in 2005.
