Disturbing safety failures in childcare centres

Four Corners has uncovered serious failures at some major childcare operators across Australia.So far, the Federal Government has used its funding lever to strip 12 centres of their subsidies, and it's put another 120 underperforming centres on its warning list to improve standards.It's also trialling mandatory CCTV in 300 centres and banned educators from using mobile phones in centres, as well as created a national database to track childcare workers and beefed up penalties.But there's a lot more to do.
