Disneyland Discount Tickets: August 2026 Guide

Disneyland Discount Tickets: August 2026 Guide

You just can’t argue with that Disney magic. Whether you’re a Disney adult or a begrudging occasional visitor, at some point throughout the day, a little bit of Disney dust will hit you. Maybe it’s the fireworks, or the rides, or the many, many Disney-shaped food items. If not that, it might be seeing the excitement on kids’ faces when they run into a princess, Avenger, or cartoon character IRL. I’m no Disney evangelist, but I would say that if you can’t have fun at a theme park, consider looking inward. (And okay, as a former resident of both California and Florida, I have spent more than my fair share of time at the parks on both coasts.) All that aside, trips to the parks are expensive, so if you’re here to find ways to save, I get it—below, find all the current discounts and promotions to be aware of before planning your next trip to Disneyland. How to maximize Disneyland Resort hotel discounts on 4+ night stays in August 2026Squeezing in an end-of-summer California vacay? You’re in luck: Through September 7, 2026, Disneyland is offering up to 25% off select room types when booking consecutive stays of four or more nights at participating Disneyland Resort hotels, including the grande dame Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the classic Disneyland Hotel. Travel must be completed by September 8, 2026, so really, you’ll need to book by September 4; included room types are Standard, Premium, Deluxe, Duo Studio, Deluxe Studio, 1-Bedroom Villas, Preferred, Woods, Garden, and Courtyard rooms, and select Concierge Rooms and Suites. Note that additional per-adult charges do apply if there are more than two adults in a room.Save more with Disneyland coupons and promo codes on tickets and resort hotelsAnother summer offer that’s still running: Save up to 15% on both standard and premium room types at top Disneyland Resort hotels, including the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel; or save up to 10% at Pixar Place Hotel. This offer is valid for stays from Sunday through Thursday nights taken by September 7, 2026, though you must book by August 25 to qualify for the promotional pricing.Staying on property has its perks, starting with ride advantages: Disneyland Resort guests receive one Lightning Lane Multi Pass for either park, redeemable at any available time on one day of the hotel stay. It’s also a particularly fun experience if you’re traveling with kids or adults who want to see their faves—at on-property hotels, you can enjoy character wake-up calls and dine with popular Disney characters.Disneyland discount for kids: $50 Park Hopper ticketsFamilies, this deal is a particularly strong one: Through September 7, tickets for kids ages three to nine are just $50 for a 1-Day Park Hopper ticket, which gives you access to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day. These tickets usually start at $168, bringing the cost significantly down. Of course, tickets are subject to reservation availability and specific promotional travel dates.Disneyland discounts for Magic Key holdersFor the uninitiated, annual passholders are called Magic Key holders, and they can pop in and out of Disneyland as they please (with some terms and conditions in there). Through September 7, these theme park enthusiasts can save up to 20% on select Standard and Premium room types at premium Disneyland Resort hotels. The offer is tailored to Sunday through Thursday night stays at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel. Of note, you must present a valid active Magic Key pass at check-in to secure the discounted rate.Disneyland discounts for military membersSavings are available on an ongoing basis for active-duty and retired US military personnel, including the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, the US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Tickets start at $98 for kids of these travelers and $104 for adults purchasing a one-day, one-park ticket. These tickets may not be combined with other ticket discounts or promotions, and cannot be sold or transferred.Locals get discounted Disney tickets for as little as $71Through October 8, 2026, Anaheim, California, residents can purchase one-day passes for as little as $71. This can be combined with the promo on children’s tickets—just $50 per day for kids ages three to nine—and is valid for any day visit taken by October 8. (FYI: Halloween starts early at Disneyland, with decorations up starting August 21!) Proof of eligible residency, including a valid government-issued photo ID, is required for both purchase and admission.Save on multi-day Disneyland ticketsWhile going to the parks for just one day is the most cost-effective option, your per-day cost does go down when you opt for multi-day tickets instead. For example, a one-day ticket will run you between $104 and $224 based on the date you select. If you go for two days, your price per day starts at $168; for three days, it drops to $142 and up per day; for four days, from $120 per day; and for five days, from $104 per day.A few things to note: Disneyland is much smaller than Disney World, with just two parks, so it is possible to cover a good amount of ground in a single day. However, especially if you’re coming from out of town, you may want a few days there so there’s less pressure to squeeze every ride and meal into a single day. There’s also the question of purchasing one-park-per-day tickets or upgrading to a Park Hopper ticket (an extra $100 per day). If you’re visiting for just one day, I’d suggest the Park Hopper ticket so you get to experience both parks. For multi-day trips, it really comes down to preference; you’ll want to decide between chunking out your park visits or having the freedom to roam back and forth between parks throughout the day (which, size-wise, is definitely doable).Save on food, merchandise, and add-ons with Disneyland discounts beyond ticketsTickets are one thing, but once you’re inside the park, it’s easy to rack up charges on dining, souvenirs, and add-on experiences. If you’re concerned about sticking to a budget, there are a few surefire ways to cut costs. For one, take a look at the gift card section next time you're at Target, Costco, or Sam’s Club, as they sometimes sell discounted Disney Gift Cards. If you’re interested in an additional credit card, new Disney Inspire Visa Card holders can earn up to $500 in the form of a $300 eGift to spend at the park and a $200 statement credit after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening. You’ll also earn Disney Rewards Dollars on all card purchases, including:10% on card purchases made directly with Disney+, Hulu, and Stream.ESPN.com3% on card purchases at gas stations and most Disney US locations2% on card purchases at grocery stores and restaurants1% on all other card purchasesWhen it comes to food, placing mobile orders via the Disneyland App can help you track food spending more easily and find quick options in place of more expensive sit-down meals. Lastly, consider dining off-property or at Downtown Disney to curb costs. On my last visit to Disneyland, I stayed right across the street from the entrance at Park Vue Inn—the proximity was amazing, and it had a pool and hot tub. Rates start at $229 a night, and rooms with kitchenettes are available, which make coming back midday to prep meals a breeze.Find more verified promo codes for theme parks and family-friendly vacations:Universal Orlando Ticket DiscountsDisney World DiscountsSeaWorld Promo CodesGreat Wolf Lodge Promo CodesAtlantis Resort Promo CodesCityPass Promo Codes
