Disney Lorcana's Latest Release Is Going To Blow You Away

But that certainly isn't the case with this sneaky release that happened last week. The game launched its 13th set, Attack of the Vine, in July, and doesn't have another set expected until October, which is why this silent launch seems to have caught many off guard. In August, at Disney's D23 convention, Disney Lorcana made several announcements regarding the future of the TCG. During this event, there was an early access look at the new Disney Lorcana Quest of Wonders: An Illumineer's Lorebook, which became available everywhere Lorcana products are sold on September 1, 2026. Official press releases regarding the book reportedly won't even be happening until later this month. Disney Lorcana Quest of Wonders: An Illumineer's Lorebook is a beautiful deep dive into the lore behind the card game. Following an in-game character named Illumineer Shanzay, we get to read about her coming across an old lorebook and finding out more about what's happening in Lorcana as she delves into the writings of an early Illumineer. The story is said to reveal "a dramatic story about the search for the mentor Archazia, a sinister conspiracy, and a tragic betrayal." Not only is it sure to be an exciting story, but it also provides valuable insights into the story that Disney Lorcana has been slowly telling us through each new expansion set's release. This beautiful book is now listed on storefronts such as Ravensburger, Amazon, and more, but unfortunately, it has already sold out nearly everywhere. We are hopeful that, with official announcements still to come, stock will be replenished so more fans can get their hands on it. And, hopefully, it will also still include a special promo card. This limited edition exclusive promo card featuring "Pegasus - Searching High and Low" is said to be included with purchases of the Quest of Wonders books as supplies last. The promo card is a beautiful new alternate art version of card number 106/204 from the Wilds Unknown set. Interestingly, the printed card that is currently in circulation features a misprint stating that the set number is 16 instead of the correct number, 12. Later this year, on November 1, 2026, another new book for Disney Lorcana will also be released. The third Disney Lorcana Official Collector's Guide will cover Sets 9 through 13, looking at the basic narrative of the game and showing the artwork and checklists for sets Fabled, Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, and Attack of the Vine!. These books can be wonderful collectors' items for fans and are especially wonderful for anyone who loves the artwork of Disney Lorcana.
