Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC) August 14, 2026 The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Units 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St Catherine, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Jockey DANIEL THOMPSON, who rode BIG LA in the eighth race on Saturday, July 25, 2026, was fined $12,000 for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race. Jockey DEMAR WILLIAMS, who rode NEPHEW in the ninth race on Saturday, July 25, 2026, was suspended for a period of two race days and fined $10,000 for the intimidation and interference caused to SUMMER PALACE approaching the 200-metre point and while leaving the 100-metre point of the race. The suspension will take effect on Saturday, August 2, 2026. Jockey RAYON BLAKE, who rode TITAN TEMPO in the fourth race on Sunday, July 5, 2026, was cautioned for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race.
