"Disastrous" New GTA 6 Leak Sparks Concerns Over Game's Ending

Although Rockstar and Take-Two chose to make the game digital-only at launch, it's simply too big to avoid leaks forever. At some point, someone may have access to an early build, and we're on global leak-watch from here on. That might already be the case, as it turns out. While Rockstar doesn't have to worry about a widespread case of people getting the game earlier than they're supposed to, it could still be a problem. We possibly have one of our biggest GTA 6 leaks yet via X, with more footage supposedly leaked and greater implications for its eventual November launch. In the footage reportedly uploaded by the group Cyberleek, fans claim they have access to a GTA 6 build. In the video linked above, a player controlling Jason (one of the game's protagonists, along with Lucia) shoots the word "Leek" into the wall, showing they aren't just posting clips and that they have a playable build. As fans have pointed out, if this is legit, they could potentially leak huge story beats and the game's ending. Naturally, people aren't happy. "This is gonna be banned by Take-Two...check my word in couple hours," one fan writes. Other fans aren't concerned, and believe it's an early build that doesn't have full story access: "This person is probably given an older version of the game from RS. They can’t really release anything bec of the Netflix deal. They showing older versions of the game and they release the new version everyone will talk about how good it looks." Some think the game is too big to fail: "It is a PR disaster, but I don't think it will have any negative impact. An early build of Half-Life 2 was leaked back in the day....it didn't change anything. Most people probably don't even remember anymore." In a way, that's true. Leaks might turn some people off the game, but they'll also turn others on to it, and once it actually comes out, people will still be playing it. If you're excited about Grand Theft Auto 6, now might be the time to start setting up filters to block on social media. There is no way the floodgates will close once they're open, but for now, Grand Theft Auto 6 is still contained.
