A DIOR exec and her film producer boyfriend have been killed in a horrific car crash in France. A statement read: “Dior is deeply saddened to announce the accidental death of Mathilde Favier. “In her role as Director of Public Relations, Mathilde Favier made an incredible contribution to the reputation of Christian Dior Couture through her commitment and elegance. “She was an exceptional woman whose communicative joy, talent, and loyalty were exemplary.” Dior CEO Delphine Arnault mourned the loss of a “loyal friend” in a touching message. She wrote: “Mathilde loved life with a passion. With the passing of Mathilde, Dior is losing an incredible professional, and I have lost a loyal friend. We will sorely miss her smile and her talent. “I feel deeply saddened today; my thoughts are very much with her children, her mother, her sisters, her family, her many friends and her team she loved so much.” Mathilde shared two children – Helen, 27, and Carlo, 25 – with her first husband Robert Agostinelli. Finance magnate Agostinelli is a self-made billionaire who is the chairman and co-founder of private equity firm Rhône Group. Mathilde later married Antoine Meyer, but found love with film producer Nicolas after they split. She worked at Dior for more than 13 years and had previous roles at Prada and Glamour magazine. Nicolas, 61, was a prolific French film producer who worked on over 80 films and was behind the OSS 117 franchise. Mathilde was described as the “best connected woman in Paris” in a 2024 interview with The Times.
