Diljit Dosanjh announces Narendra Modi Stadium show during Wembley concert. Watch

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh announced during his concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday, 12 September, that he will perform next at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The announcement came during his ongoing Aura World Tour and was met with cheers from the crowd.Dosanjh later confirmed the date for the Ahmedabad show, telling the audience, “We are doing Narendra Modi Stadium on November 21, 2026.” The concert will mark his return to Ahmedabad after his Dil-Luminati India Tour in 2024. Details of tickets, prices and bookings for the November show are yet to be announced.Speaking about the venue, Dosanjh termed the Narendra Modi Stadium as India’s biggest stadium and also mentioned Coldplay’s concert there.Referring to Coldplay, he said, “The biggest stadium is in India- Narendra Modi Stadium. Ek gore group ne waha pe sell out kar diya tha. Respect for them, bohot mubarkan. India mein stadium ho, aur Punjabi udhar na ho, yeh toh phir ho nahi sakta (The biggest stadium is in India — Narendra Modi Stadium. A foreign band sold it out completely. Respect to them, many congratulations! But if there's a stadium in India and a Punjabi isn't performing there, that's just impossible).” At Wembley, Dosanjh became the first Punjabi singer to headline the venue. Opening the show with “Punjabi Aa Gaye Wembley Oye (The Punjabis have arrived at Wembley)!”, he told the packed crowd that the moment would “go down in the history books”. During the over two-hour concert, he performed songs including GOAT, Lover, Hass Hass and Born to Shine.The 90,000-seater stadium saw fans from different backgrounds singing and dancing along.
