DIIV – “Dare Me”

DIIV's new A. G. Cook-produced record ZIRP!, which just so happens to be our reigning Album Of The Week, is officially out on Friday. We've already heard early tracks "The Fountain," "Kid," and "Trillions," two of which made it onto our hallowed 5 Best Songs Of The Week lists. Today, we're getting one final single before the drop, "Dare Me," which continues fusing their shoegaze sensibilities with squiggly electronic textures. It also comes with an atmospheric music video, directed by Louie Kovatch, in which the band performs the song in an abandoned office while clad in the rumpled businesswear they've been sporting lately. Watch and listen below.DIIV have several festival appearances in Europe coming up, and they've also announced a huge world tour kicking off in Australia in February and concluding in the UK in the end of June.11/2 - Paris, FR @ Pitchfork Music Festival11/6 - Kortrijk, BE @ Sonic City Festival11/7 - London, UK @ Pitchfork Music Festival11/9 - Kingston, UK @ Circuit2027 WORLD TOURAUS / ASIA2/12 - Sydney, AU @ Laneway Festival2/13 - Brisbane, AU @ Laneway Festival2/19 - Melbourne, AU @ Laneway Festival2/21 - Auckland, NZ @ Laneway Festival2/24 - Tokyo, JP@ KANDA SQUARE HALL2/25 - Tokyo, JP @ KANDA SQUARE HALLNORTH AMERICA4/7 - Minneapolis, MN @ Varsity Theater4/8 - Madison, WI @ Majestic Theatre4/9 - Chicago, IL @ Thalia Hall4/12 - Detroit, MI @ El Club4/13 - Toronto, ON @ The Danforth Music Hall4/15 - Cambridge, MA @ The Sinclair4/16 - New York, NY @ Irving Plaza4/17 - Brooklyn, NY @ Warsaw4/18 - Philadelphia, PA @ Union Transfer4/20 - Silver Spring, MD @ The Fillmore Silver Spring4/21 - Carrboro, NC @ Cat's Cradle4/22 - Asheville, NC @ The Orange Peel4/23 - Atlanta, GA @ Variety Playhouse4/25 - Houston, TX @ White Oak Music Hall (Downstairs)4/26 - Dallas, TX @ AM/FM Backyard4/27 - Austin, TX @ Mohawk4/30 - Los Angeles, CA @ The Fonda Theatre5/2 - San Francisco, CA @ The Fillmore5/7 - Santa Ana, CA @ The Observatory5/8 - Santa Barbara, CA @ SOhO Restaurant & Music Club5/9 - Santa Cruz, CA @ Rio Theatre5/10 - Sacramento, CA @ Harlow's5/12 - Portland, OR @ Revolution Hall5/13 - Seattle, WA @ The Showbox5/15 - Boise, ID @ Shrine Social Club5/16 - Salt Lake City, UT @ Metro Music Hall5/17 - Denver, CO @ Gothic Theatre5/20 - Phoenix, AZ @ The Van Buren5/21 - San Diego, CA @ The Observatory at North ParkEUROPE / UK 5/31 - Lille, FR @ L’Aéronef6/1 - Paris, FR @ L'Olympia6/2 - Rennes, FR @ Antipode6/3 - Lyon, FR @ Transbordeur6/3-6/5 - Barcelona, ES @ Primavera Sound6/13 - Hilvarenbeek, NL @ Best Kept Secret6/14 - Hamburg, DE @ Gruenspan6/16 - Copenhagen, DK @ Vega6/17 - Berlin, DE @ Huxleys Neue Welt6/18 - Prague, CZ @ Roxy6/19 - Vienna, AT @ Flex6/20 - Munich, DE @ Nachtwerk6/21 - Köln, DE @ Kantine6/22 - Zurich, CH @ Rote Fabrik6/24 - Brighton, UK @ Chalk6/25 - Manchester, UK @ Albert Hall6/26 - Glasgow, UK @ QMU6/27 - Dublin, IE @ Opium6/29 - Bristol, UK @ The Prospect Building6/30 - London, UK @ TroxyZIRP! is out 10/30 on Fantasy.
