Differential options for Gameweek 3: In-form Victor Munoz among left-field suggestions

Tomorrow, we’ll publish suggestions that follow mainstream logic but today we’re highlighting some fun differentials who feature in very few teams ahead of Gameweek 3. His ownership of 0.7% reflects the fact his minutes are not necessarily guaranteed but he appears to be a good option for Gameweek 3 when Liverpool will take on Ipswich (who just shipped five goals to Manchester United) and Atletico Madrid. Xhaka ranks joint-first for bonus points and PPM among midfielders at this stage, level with Cole Palmer (£5.3m) in both metrics. The Switzerland international provided an assist against Ipswich and was unlucky not to get another at home to Fulham on Sunday when he created two big chances for his team-mates. Xhaka has accumulated 16 points from his two fixtures, nine more than Le Fee, and therefore deserves to be considered a viable option for Gameweek 3 when the Black Cats will take on Brentford (a) and Hull (h). Phil Foden (£4.5m) A fresh start Credit: EPA Suprised? The former PFA Player of the Year has been among the most popular players in the game in past seasons but right now he features in just 3.8% of teams and that qualifies him as a differential. In fact, Foden is just the fourth-most selected Manchester City midfielder at present. Although that is likely to change after he provided two assists against Crystal Palace for an 11-point haul on Friday night. It’s early days but Enzo Maresca seems to have a lot of faith in the 26-year-old and with good reason, his talent is unquestionable. City are scheduled to face Coventry at the Etihad this weekend before beginning their Champions League campaign with a trip to Porto on Tuesday.
